Glucomannan

Glucomannan is a type of fiber that is sourced from the roots of konjac (also known as elephant yam). It absorbs water to transform into a gel-like consistency, and then promotes feelings of fullness while remaining in your gut, therefore suppressing appetite and restricting the amount of calories ingested. Due to both of these effects, glucomannan can be a useful weight loss supplement. A study has shown that people who take a glucomannan supplement (and combine it with healthy eating habits) can lose around 8-10 pounds over 5 weeks.

CBD Oil

While research into CBD oil in relation to weight is in its early stages, results have shown that it could be a beneficial weight loss supplement. A review in 2017 found that people using CBD for seizures often experienced weight loss as a side effect. It also reduced the food intake and weight gain in rats. More research is still needed, but it looks like CBD oil can be a useful weight loss supplement.

Olive Leaf Extract

Olive leaf extract is most commonly known as a supplement to treat colds, flus, and respiratory infections, but it can also help with weight loss. The supplement works by stimulating a compound located in your thyroid, which then promotes a faster shedding of weight and fat.

Green Coffee Bean Extract

Green coffee bean extract comes from coffee beans that haven’t been roasted. They contain two substances that are believed the help with weight loss. The first is caffeine, which can increase fat breakdown. The second is chlorogenic acid, which slows down the breakdown of carbs and reduces absorbed fat. A review of multiple studies found that green coffee bean extract can help people lose approximately 5 more pounds, when compared to those taking a placebo supplement.
