Charlotte’s Web CBD has an interesting origin story. In 2011, a large medicinal marijuana dispensary in Colorado engineered a hybrid strain of hemp—with all the CBD oil benefits but none of the psychoactive effects from THC—for a little girl named Charlotte. The benefit for Charlotte was life-changing, and Charlotte’s Web Hemp was born.
Developed by the Stanley brothers, this strain of hemp worked so well that the Stanley brothers named the strain for Charlotte, and now sell a range of products including CBD hemp oils, capsules, topicals, and pet products that all feature the unique CBD hemp oil extract. Their mission is to provide products of the highest possible quality, while contributing to the sustainability of the communities they serve.
The Stanley brothers also began a 501c3 non-profit organization called Realm of Caring to support cannabis science research and help people that would benefit from cannabis, but can’t afford the treatment.

Remedy Review is constantly working to make the review of hemp-derived products less subjective. That’s why we aim to put numbers around quality, value, and transparency. We also know it helps to hear what a real person thinks about a product before you spend your money. These Editor’s Notes are the opinion of our staff—not a suggestion from the brand and definitely not medical advice.
