Melissa Etheridge’s Etheridge Farms

Melissa Etheridge started her journey into the cannabis industry in 2004, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She went through extensive chemotherapy and was on several painkillers to alleviate the symptoms her body went through after each treatment.

Eventually, Etheridge began searching for a more natural route to treat her pain. She asked her doctors if she could try medical marijuana. Her positive experiences with medical marijuana sparked inspiration in her, and Etheridge Farms was born.

In an interview about her decision to enter the cannabis industry, she said, “I’m really just entering the market with what I’ve learned in the last 10 years about cannabis in wanting to bring a product to America that is focused on health and on wellness and how important this plant is and used to be in our medicinal system. Seventy years ago it was on pharmacy shelves, now it’s time to get back to that; to understand plant medicine. That’s really where I want to enter this market in… I just feel really strongly about the medicinal aspects of cannabis.”

Etheridge Farms is bringing both THC and CBD infused products for pain management and other medical benefits.

Willie Nelson’s Willie’s Reserve

Willie Nelson is one of the few celebrities that already has a thriving cannabis company. Dubbed Willie’s Reserve, the rockstar currently sells his own strains of cannabis as well as vape pens and other cannabis paraphernalia.

However, the brand is set to launch an all-CBD line of products called “Willie’s Remedy,” including CBD-infused coffee and other edibles. Nelson is reportedly very excited about the new launch. He stated in an interview with Rolling Stone, “It’s two of my favorites, together in the perfect combination. Like coffee, cannabis is a plant that works for me.” His new CBD coffees are said to have between 5 and 10mg of CBD per serving.
